Summer is here... What have I observed?!?
- Ive been reminded how well Number one tans. No matter how much sun cream she has on, at the end of the day she's a beautiful colour!! Yet I could cover myself in cooking oil and still be lilly white!!
- Number two can fall into a stinging nettle, covering her whole leg in little white bumps and it not bother her! A bit of sudocream and off she went, like it never happened!
- I'm much more lax about Number three being outside. The other two, I'd have left them inside, where I could see them. Just in case 22 degrees, was too cold for them. This one, I'm like right, nappy off and out in the shade!!! Get some vit D, kid!!
- They will play for hours with a slide and a paddling pool. Just going round and round and round and round and round, until all the water has been splashed out the pool!!
- Swimwear is pointless. It stays on for all of 10 mins and then all of a sudden, they are naked. Apparently, they go faster on the slide, if they have no pants on...
- I feel sorry for our neighbours, who have to listen the screams and laughs and splashing and fighting. I don't let them outside till at least 11am but still! I have to put up with the noise, as chose to birth them but the neighbours are innocent in this!!
- I realise shouldn't feel sorry for the neighbours, who moved in knowing we had kids. They should feel lucky to hear their happy chuckles and childhood enjoyment. And also if you play music till 3am, my kids can play outside all day.
- They make less mess eating outside, than they do inside. Inside on my carpet, it's fair game to drop Spag Bol everywhere but outside, where it doesn't matter? Not a drop is wasted!
- They are scared of every bug going. Number two will bust into tears if a fly, dare fly past her. No amount of explaining that bugs will be outside, helps. I'm not sure how they are going to cope outside and they should be thankful, we live in England where the bugs are just annoying, not deadly.
- We are currently on paddling pool number one. Last year, we got through 5...5 paddling pools. I'm excited to see if they break that record, this year.
- Every airplane that flys over, has to be acknowledged, by everyone. Even if you aren't outside, you will be dragged to see it. It's quite time consuming, when we sort of live under the flight path, of Birmingham Airport!
- This summer is going to be great. We can enjoy the garden (even more so, as its getting done this week!!!), we can enjoy the sun and I can enjoy spending time with them, before Number one starts school in September.
Bring on more sunshine!!!!
