School is cool.
This week, we dropped Number one off, for her 1st morning at school. I am a little shocked that we are here already!! She's too little, to go to school... Isn't she? As it turns out, no she isn't. She's completely ready and cannot wait, to get away from me.
We dropped her off and she walked in, without even looking back at me (probably best, because I was teetering on the edge of being an emotional wreck), and disappeared into her class room.
I held it together and returned back to the husband, who was on the other side of the playground, consoling Number two. She was sobbing her heart out, at the fact she already missed her sister! We had to reassure her, that we would be coming back to get her later and she wasn't gone forever.
On pick up, Number one came out smiling and telling us all about her morning. It was lovely to hear how much she enjoyed it. Until she complained non stop, for at least 3 hours about the fact she had to come home. Apparently, school is so wonderful, home is rubbish and she wants to live there forever!
Part of me is happy that she enjoyed it so much, she hated her afternoon of a pub lunch with me and her sisters and wanted to return immediately. The other part of me...well, the other part of me, wanted to drop her back off, as having only two kids for a few hours, was so much easier!!
Roll on September!!!
